Dear neighbors,

This campaign was not easy — it was tough, and at times, even brutal. Yet through every challenge, I was lifted by your kindness, your belief, and your encouragement.

I want to congratulate my opponent, Councilor Naima Sait, as well as Mayor-Elect Jake Wilson, our newly elected city councilors, and everyone who stepped up to run for office this year. Putting your name on a ballot takes courage, and it’s how our community grows stronger: one campaign, one conversation, one voter at a time.

I hope that my loss, and the challenges along the way, don’t discourage others from stepping forward. We need good people willing to take risks, face setbacks, and keep showing up. Because in the end, democracy depends on those who refuse to give up.

And to everyone who supported me, knocked on doors, donated, or simply shared a kind word, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your belief kept this campaign moving, even on the hardest days.

Thank you,
Jason Mackey
