Constituent Services
The most important part of my job of a city councilor is cutting through red tape to resolve everything from potholes to permiting.
Your Voice, My Priority
Constituent services that actually serve you
Your City Councilor should be your advocate at City Hall. Someone who listens, takes action, and follows through. When you reach out with a question, a concern, or a problem, you deserve more than a polite response — you deserve results.
I will treat every call, email, and request from Ward 5 residents with urgency and respect. Whether it is a broken sidewalk, a confusing city form, or a long-stalled neighborhood project, I will be there to help you get answers and move things forward.
A Real Plan to Deliver for Ward 5
1. Proactive 311 Tracking and Resolution
Filing a 311 request should lead to action, not just a ticket number. I will monitor service requests across the ward to identify recurring issues and push for systemic fixes. If a request goes unanswered, I will personally step in to get it resolved.
2. Expert Help Navigating City Government
City processes should not feel like a maze. I will help you through any city service — from applying for a parking permit to understanding zoning questions — and stay with you until the issue is resolved. I will also publish clear, easy-to-use guides tailored for Ward 5 residents.
3. Unblocking Stalled Projects
Too many local improvements sit in limbo because no one is pushing them forward. I will regularly audit ongoing Ward 5 projects, identify what is holding them up, and work with city staff to get things moving again. You will know what is happening, why it matters, and when it will get done.
4. Truly Accessible Office Hours
Your voice should never be out of reach. I will hold weekly in-person office hours in neighborhood spaces, host monthly evening virtual sessions, and organize quarterly “Councilor on Your Corner” pop-ups across Ward 5. You will always know how to reach me — by phone, email, social media, or Zoom.
5. Personalized Casework with Follow Through
I will not pass the buck. When you bring an issue to me, I will take ownership, communicate clearly, and follow up until there is a resolution. Whether it is a city service, a neighborhood concern, or a policy idea, I will be your point person from start to finish.
When the system works, you will feel it. When it does not, I will help fix it. That is what constituent service should be — and it is what I will deliver.
